This half-term we would have been reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar at school so many of the tasks are caterpillar and butterfly themed.

Creating A Story With Tales Toolkit

In school we use objects we find in the classroom to prompt children’s ideas for example:

-    a soft toy or action figure for the character.

- a piece of material or a picture sparks lots of imagination for the setting (green fabric can be a forest, a blue towel can be the sea etc).

- any object can create a problem (a wooden block becomes a log, a toilet roll tube becomes a tunnel) or children can use something like a toy animal.

- again, any object can be the solution (children are able to use their imagination so much more than us!)

Here are some tasks from Mrs Deavin from April 20th.
