Stay Learning. Stay Active. Stay Safe.

About

Following the outbreak of the Coronavirus, we have thought long and hard of how we could adequately support the children, parents and carers within our fantastic community.

As of the 23rd of March, the United Kingdom was placed into lockdown. This unprecedented step followed school closures on Friday March 20th.

As a consequence, we as: teachers, teaching assistants, office staff, cooks, site managers, volunteers haven't seen you for such a long time. This does not mean that we do not care about you or don't think about you everyday.

Further support, advice and resources for parents/carers, children and teaching staff can be found through the NEU here

Curriculum

The challenges we face as a global community are large and wide ranging. As a school, we would like to place the emphasis of our distance learning curriculum on ensuring children feel valued and motivated to learn, whilst providing a variety of resources to ensure children and parents/carers feel supported in delivering tasks that are both challenging and fun.

The aim of the website is to ensure that we, as educators, are passing on as many free, enjoyable and pertinent activities to families within our community. For example, it can be challenging knowing how to deliver a maths curriculum to a child in Year 1 (let alone Year 6) as methods may have differed since we were children.

This website is constantly amended, with new resources added on a Monday, Wednesday and a Friday.

A wonderful resource has been created by the BBC to help with Daily Lessons to keep your child occupied, learning and fulfilled throughout lockdown. Here they are!

Treasure Chest Tokens

Every week, we will be naming three Stars of the Week who have really impressed us and their parents/carers. Below is a copy of the certificate you will receive if you are named on the Friday videos!
